News broke today that Jorge Posada will announce his retirement some time in the next two weeks. It wasn’t that big a surprise really, but nonetheless a sad day in the Yankee Universe. This led me to create a list of the Top 11 Greatest Yankee Catchers of All-Time. Keep in mind you may not agree with my rankings, and that I tried to list them in order of Yankee Greatness. Had I listed them in the order of my personal favorites, Thurman Munson would be #1 followed by Posada, Cerone, Leyritz, and Girardi.
